Invest in One of These Skincare Products with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

Have you ever spent time in the sun? Are you over the age of 30? Do you want a smoother complexion and more even skin tone? Then invest in a product that contains AHAs! I started using AHAs diligently about nine months ago and they have completely revitalized my skin. I even notice a difference when I get lazy about using them. These are not a quick fix though. It takes about six weeks before you will see a change and you may experience some redness initially. I have compiled a list of my three favorite skincare products with AHAs for you to try! These are suitable for all skin types too. It’s important to never combine products containing AHAs as this will be too harsh for your skin and may cause a severe reaction.

The Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Pads are a staple in my vanity. They are great to use if this is going to be your first time trying a product that contains AHAs. Unless you have skin that is extremely acne-prone or oily, start off with the Regular Strength. The Extra Strength are very extra so if your skin is at all sensitive, you have been warned. These completely changed the texture of my skin and even if I am going away for the weekend, I still bring a couple of packets with me. I am currently able to apply these in the morning since my skin is now accustomed to them. I appreciate that you can choose to purchase them in three different sizes. There is the Mini (five treatments for $17) and two different Standard-sized options. Thirty treatments cost $88 and a two-month supply is priced at $150.

I suggest trying the Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Resurfacing Night Serum ($58) if you are more interested in trying something just for nighttime. If you have sensitive skin or haven’t tried AHAs before then start off slow with this. You should use only one pump per use and no more than two non-consecutive nights per week. I love the look of my skin the morning after using this. It literally glows! This does contain a BHA, willow bark, which can irritate sensitive skin so always spot test a new product first.

If you are looking for something more affordable then you will be interested in the Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic ($15). It is a powderful toner at an excellent price and I love that this is alcohol-free. It did not dry out my skin. This also contains aloe which can lessen the affect of irritation that can come from using an exfoliator.
